The Barbé kit was imagined and created by Mr Barbé Alfred, a mechanic by trade.

His passion for mechanics, jeeps and his skills as a tuner enabled him to optimize the T84’s weak points: wear on the fixed gear bushings and the second gear that unlocks.

The T84 Barbé uses modern gearbox principles, inserting bearing needles in place of bronze bushes, and an adjustable seconds fork.

This gearbox has become robust, reliable, precise, smooth and works like a modern manual gearbox.
